“I photographed Haiti’s strength — its women.” – Thibault Carron
Photographers Mikaël Theimer and Thibault Carron have taken some stunning portraits of women in Haiti as part of their Humans of Montréal project.
The pair wanted to change the narrative around how people view Haiti. Often imagery associated with the country depicts poverty and disaster. Theimer and Carron wanted to show an optimistic, hopeful view of the Haiti and its people, especially the women. You can see all the photos and accompanying stories here.
